About

My name is Antonio Pezzulla. I was born in a small village of Southern Italy called Otranto, on the Adriatic coast. However, I moved to Brussels, Belgium when I was just two years old. Growing up between two different cultures, I have always loved to compare them to see how different cultures relate to each other and how they impact individuals. This is particularly remarkable in literature, as culture gives to writers not only a different language but also a whole different approach to the world. The literary part of this blog will therefore essentially focus on French and Italian writers, as I can fully relate to their culture. Apart from literature and philosophy, another great passion I have is science, particularly chemistry. When I was younger, I used to dislike this subject at school, as it did not focus on the right things. Growing up I realized that science goes beyond what I knew about it and how beautiful it is. This made me aware of the fact that the way a subject is taught is decisive. This is why I decided to start a project called “BoscoLab” in my school, “Bosco” being a reference to my school’s name. With BoscoLab, I aim to teach young people science in a concrete and fun way, that is, through experiments.
